This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works’ New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (“RWDSU”). Accordingly, the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a “CBA”) between Housing Works and the RWDSU 

This position requires applicants to successfully complete a background check through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services when it supports the mandate under Section 424-a of the Social Services Law for legally authorized agencies to inquire of the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) as to the existence of any indicated reports of child abuse and maltreatment against an applicant prior to employment, certification, or licensure in the childcare field.  All background checks will be conducted and reviewed in accordance with applicable federal, state and local law. 

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $95,000 annually commensurate with experience.

Overview

The Marketing Data Analyst/Digital Strategist will be responsible for managing digital advertising accounts related to Housing Works ecommerce and social media campaigns for Housing Works eShop, Thrift Shops, and the Housing Works Bookstore. This position will also source and work with vendors that provide website hosting and technical support as well as SEO support. The Digital Marketing Strategist will execute, monitor and report on campaign-specific results, including online and in-store metrics as a result of digital campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial results that maximize sales and bottom-line profitability by conceiving, developing, planning and executing digital campaigns related to our ecommerce and store fundraising campaigns.

• Work with VP of Retail on schedule for both organic and paid digital content

• Identify key performance indicators and develop reports to measure the success and/or failure of marketing initiatives and build a database of results to help guide future decision making on advertising spends

• Build out advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and other digital channels

• Optimize audience segmenting and targeting for email marketing and paid media to maximize click-throughs and conversions via Klaviyo and other marketing automation platforms

• Responsible for campaign tracking to include UTM tagging, cookies, pixels and tracking URLs

• Monitor and reports on performance of our digital marketing efforts and its impact on traffic and revenue

• Oversee retail email lists including segmentation of audiences, data integrity and compliance

• Work with outside vendors to help manage website hosting and ensure up to date content management, overall website maintenance and marketing funnel optimization

• Manage Yelp and Google Business Accounts

• Track vendor payment/invoice processing related to digital marketing

• Help maintain content on company website and intranet

• Support update of lists in coordination with Salesforce, Development, Bookstore, and Thrift Shop Teams

• Support fund-raising and client/customer acquisition efforts across agency as applicable

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field

• 7 or more years of relevant digital marketing experience including ecommerce

• High level of expertise in Facebook advertising, Ad Words, SEO, CRO, CRM • Must have strong analytic skills to review data and set up effective digital ads

• Excellent communications skills, able to communicate effectively through emails, social channels, in person, and with/in demanding situations

• Superior organizational and project management skills

• Proficient in Salesforce, Klayvio, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Zoom
