Job Title: Personal Trainer - Riverfront Athletic Club

 

 

Position Summary: Individual will represent the Riverfront Athletic Club in a professional manner. Guide members with different fitness levels in a personal training environment through exercises designed to motivate and enhance overall fitness, while ensuring the training is safe, enjoyable, and educational.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Management to produce popular personal training offerings.
  • Maintain and continue Personal Training offering throughout the year.
  • Make sure the space is in order for beginning of session, clean and put together at end.
  • Continually monitor participants to ensure clients are using correct form, offer variations to accommodate all fitness levels.
  • Answer any questions/concerns participants may have.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards his/her responsibilities, fellow employees, and members.
  • Generate Personal Training clientele.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record proper attendance and time documentation.
  • Arrive at gym 10 to 15 minutes ahead of scheduled start time to be available to interact with clients, answer questions, inquire about their fitness progress, introduce, and orient new participants. Instructor should know clients on an individual basis and have a good sense of their fitness capabilities.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Provide feedback to management on any facility issues.

Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

 

      Education and/or Experience

  • Must hold a personal training certification from an accredited organization.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  •  Current CPR/AED Certification

      Language Skills

  • Ability to speak, read and write in the English Language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

      Equipment Utilized

  • Working knowledge of equipment for safe and proper use.

      Computer Operations

  • Ability to learn intermediate knowledge of Mindbody gym software.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions Environment:

        Lifting/Sitting/Standing

  • Ability to lift heavy objects when required.
  • Ability to move heavy equipment i.e. spin bikes.
  • Must be able to physically demonstrate proper exercise technique.
  • Stand for long periods of time.

Pay range: $45-50 per hour, scheduled in 30 and 60 minute sessions.
