Cooks are an important part of the Linden House team. 

Using established and approved cooking methods, cooks food and designated alternatives in accordance with approved menus, and recipes.  Cooking methods include baking, roasting, frying, steaming as appropriate.   Also prepares cold food such as salads and desserts.

When scheduled for morning shift, opens kitchen according to established and approved procedures.   When scheduled for afternoon shift, closes kitchen according to established and approved procedures.   Follows menus and recipes as approved.

Located on the same campus, Branchlands Manor House, an apartment complex for independent seniors citizens, also employs individuals with cooking skills to serve help prepare evening meal for residents in the Branchlands dining room.    

• 1 year of professional institutional cooking experience preferred            
• Strong working knowledge of using recipes
• Sanitation knowledge and certificate of training or the ability to obtain   
• Customer service skills / hospitality approach
