Position Summary:
Responsible for managing a specific group or category of products within the company. Analyzes data and insights to identify industry and consumer trends, devises long-term strategies for product categories, develops exit strategies for unsuccessful products, fosters relationships with vendors, determines product positioning, collaborates with marketing, operations, and space management teams, and forecasts product demand. Responsible for the overall management and profitability of specific product categories within center store.
- Store operations experience ideal.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in excel and word.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- BA in business management or similar preferred, but not required.
- Management experience required.
- Needs to be comfortable representing the organization to external companies.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize as needed. Time management skills are critical.
- Will need to understand industry data and make business decisions based off available information. Strong analytical skills are a must.
- Must be comfortable getting involved with multiple collaborative teams as different projects and objectives come up.
