Service Technician

POSITION TITLE: General Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY OF ROLE: Service, maintain and repair all Big Y property within a supermarket or C-store including carpentry, drywall and basic plumbing. This role performs general maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and makes recommendations for equipment upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 1-3 years of facilities maintenance experience
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks as assigned.
• Ability to represent and support Big Y’s Mission & Vision.
• Supports Big Y’s commitment to Culture & Belonging.
• Willingness to learn and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to travel to Big Y locations and to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when needed.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.
• Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the service needs of the stores.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
