LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary: Inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays in retail store by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions

  1. Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
  2. Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
  3. Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.
  4. Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
  5. Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
  6. Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.
  7. Itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter and accepts cash or charge card for purchases.
  8. Packs customer purchases in bags or cartons.
  9. Transports packages to specified vehicle for customer.

Special Training/Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 

Work Environment:    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or up to 40 pounds.

Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use decision making skills. The employee will occasionally use interpersonal skills and team work.
