The Security Attendant is responsible for welcoming, monitoring, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, members, and guests.

More about this role:
The Security Attendant position allows our members to focus on their fitness goals by providing safe and secure entry and exit from the club to the parking lot area. The Security Attendant is responsible for maintaining order and control in the car park, providing safe access for members and guests to the car park and conducting routine walks in and around the club. The Security Attendant is also expected to react quickly and appropriately to disturbances inside and outside the club and notify the appropriate authorities in emergency situations. . The Security Attendant role achieves success through embodying our core competencies (Create a TSI Environment, Build a High Performing Team, Achieve Measurable Results).

Responsibilities include:
- Modeling and promoting our guiding principles through the Clubhouse Rules.
- Reviewing and adhering to all TSI documents including but not limited to policies and procedures, employee handbook, state supplement, codes of conduct, etc.
- Meet and greet all members and guests arriving at the club.
- Managing the daily logs and reports.
- Work collaboratively with team members and club leaders to address any security concerns.

Responsibilities include:
- Maintain safe and secure environment for members, guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
- Being completely present at all times and observing for signs of disorder and crime and investigating as necessary.
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.
- Communicating with club team regarding any potential safety hazards.
- Report any incidents to management following appropriate procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include:
- Prepare written reports of daily activities, observations and incidents.
- Provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security.
- Actively listen and engage with members, guests and team members to address questions or concerns regarding the security of the club and car park.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years prior experience in a security role.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Security Guard license issued by the Puerto Rican government.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to defuse emotional situations in a calm manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently to achieve accomplishments.
- Physical demands include ability to regularly walk through all areas inside and outside the club, bending and lifting as needed.
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations, walk through all areas of the club, climbing stairs (where applicable), and bending and lifting (e.g. picking up towels, restacking weights, moving equipment as needed). The company reserves the right to change them as business needs require and that jobs may require other tasks as assigned to the employee by the company.
Scheduling Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, Town Sports has specific scheduling guidelines for the position.
- The primary focus for member and guest safety is between the hours of 5am-11am and 4pm-11pm.
- The schedule or hours of focus are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
