Maintenance Assistant

Linden House Assisted Living and Memory Care is a new facility in Charlottesville (opened 2018) with 58 AL apartments and a 24-bed memory care unit.

The Maintenance Assistant will perform routine building and equipment preventive Maintenance tasks according to manufacturer  standards and established facility procedures.   Included will be basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical repairs as well as painting of interior and exterior surfaces.  Also include will be:

repair of drywall

move and make minor repairs to furniture

snow / ice clearing of external parking and sidewalks

cleaning laundry dryers to eliminate fire hazards

respond to work orders from staff and residents

maintain facility vehicles 

Preferred candidate will have maintenance experience in residential housing such as a nursing home, assisted living facility or senior apartment complex if other qualifications met.
