Job Description




SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Exceed our customers’ evolving expectations by providing World Class support to all locations in order to provide a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience.  Our MyPicks Driver is responsible for delivering product and materials to all Big Y store spoke locations.  Our driver will also be completing specified routes to lockers at hub and spoke locations while providing outstanding and timely customer service.



  1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  2. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and clean driving record
  3. Successful completion of the Food Emporium Online Shopping Training Program
  4. Ability to represent A Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of ExcellenceÔ  through the support of Big Y’s Mission & Vision.
  5. Must possess excellent customer service skills (e.g., phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-through, etc.).
  6. Willingness to learn and perform other tasks as needed. 
  7. Must project a clean and professional appearance with friendly demeanor.
  8. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.
  9. Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  10. Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department.
  11. Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through with an ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately.
  12. Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
  13. Must be 21 years of age.
  14. Must have a valid drivers license.
  15. Must be able to pass a road test.
  16. Must be able to provide a clean driving record
  17. Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation at time of hire

  2. Ability to represent Big Y by working together with fellow Big Y employees to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  3. Loads customer orders consisting of palletized totes onto company vehicle at the Hub location
  4. Collect, deliver and drop off product as directed by Micro Fulfillment Center dispatcher to HUB and spoke locations or communities serviced by the fulfillment center.  Establish a pace of (x) deliveries per hour.
  5. Provide World Class Service to our stores, vendors and customers.
  6. Read and review delivery manifests while creating a personalized experience for our customers to help with facilitating a seamless experience for the customer and fellow world class employee’s.
  7. Pick up any salvage when making deliveries.
  8. Perform other tasks throughout the MFC as assigned by management or lead.  Including but not limited to; equipment sanitation, transaction form completion, order verification/staging assistance, completing returns etc.)
  9. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times while driving.
  10. Exhibits the highest degree of personal and professional integrity at all times, consistent with the Company’s Core Values.

  15. Adhere to all Company loss prevention policies and procedures.
  16. Complete all training requirements by respective due dates.




  1. Lifting 100 lb. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lb.
  2. Frequent sitting, driving, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, handling, balancing and feeling.  Occasional squatting and crouching.
