We are seeking two Purchasing Replenishment Buyers to join our fast-paced team. The primary role of this position is to ensure a continuous supply of packaging, ingredients, and supplies in support of Production and Sales.  The Replenishment Clerk manages inventory and supply across multiple bakery locations, working closely with other members of the purchasing team as well as operations, production, and sales and is the key liaison with our suppliers. This role has a direct effect on costs and inventory and will report to Purchasing Managers.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Analyze forecast, inventory, and orders and procure materials in accordance with lead times, MOQ, and contracts to accommodate production demand.
  • Monitor inventory on an item level to change or cancel orders, reduce excess inventory, and resolve aging inventory.
  • Communicate with appropriate departments to notify of potential shortages and drive for timely resolution, creating transfer orders and arranging transportation as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, driving for on-time delivery, order fulfillment, and following up on confirmations, past due deliveries, and receiving issues.
  • Implement short term corrective actions to address non-conformities, tracking associated costs and escalating as needed.
  • Coordinate with receiving, suppliers, and payables for timely resolution of AP discrepancies.
  • Provide support to Receiving personnel by obtaining requisite receiving and compliance documentation, troubleshooting ERP, reporting, and resolving receiving issues.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and at times, shift gears mid-task based on business needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems by researching and determining the most appropriate course of action for their resolution.
  • Knowledge of time management techniques with the ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule daily tasks, to accomplish the most possible in the time available.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc), advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred (vlookups, pivot tables, shortcuts)
  • Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with various levels within the company and the general public.
  • Oral and written communication skills to support effective interaction with various levels of the business (executives, accounting management, sales management, 3rd party providers).
  • Skill in proofreading materials to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.
  • Ability to work with constant/extreme noise or interruptions in a cubicle environment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift files, or sit.
  • Ability to use a calculator and computer.
  • Ability to push, pull or drag file carts of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all the essential functions of this position.

Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.  College level education a plus and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of administrative work experience preferably in accounting, purchasing, or inventory management.
  • Three years related experience in complex manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform material planning inside and outside of ERP system, Microsoft NAV or Business Central experience preferred 
  • Familiarity with SQF and general food manufacturing policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts in a professional manner.
