Nursing Assistant-MHA CKRC PRN

Functions at an advanced paraprofessional level in assisting with the implementation and operation of programs within an adult psychiatric facility. Assists in providing age appropriate and specific needs, treatment services, and performs related tasks as required. Provides direct patient care by planning, organizing and implementing psychiatric rehabilitation activities. Assists in escort of patients to and from activities. Assists in screening and basic assessment of patients. Provides documentation and keeps records of patient behavior. Assists in supervision of patients during treatment/support activities. May lead/co-lead activities groups in Recovery Mall. May drive hospital vehicles and supervise patients during outings. Implements hospital and departmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations in assuring a safe, therapeutic environment.  

3-8 hour days per week. 

High School Graduate or Equivalent is required. Associate Degree is preferred. Five years of driving experience is required. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency development activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills.
