- Unloads and breaks down freight (eg. trucks, trailers, rail cars, etc)
- Sorts and organizes freight
- Operate various types of material handling equipment (forklift, electric pallet jacks, order selectors)
- Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures. (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.)
- Pick, scan, sort and label.
- Identify unusable pallets
- Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided)
- Select and scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy.
- Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition
- 6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
- Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
- Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred (ie electric pallet jack, forklift, order selector)
- Meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards
- Excellent customer service required
- Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
- Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
- Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
- Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
- Effective communication skills
- Safety shoes are required
