Dialysis Technician
Overview
The Dialysis Technician will be responsible for job duties that include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs maintenance and operation of dialysis equipment and supplies
- Initiate dialysis and care for patients during dialysis treatments
- Maintains inventory and a rotation system of reuse supplies
- Assists nurses in monitoring dialysis patients and equipment
- Instruct patients in self-care to prevent complications between dialysis visits
- Maintains accurate patient records
- Communicates and transfers patient information to the appropriate personnel
Qualification:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- LPN or MA preferred.
- The qualified candidate must be certified as a Dialysis Technician after 18 months of hire to satisfy federal requirements.
- Must be capable of working in close relationships with other colleagues and patients with chronic care needs.
