Position Summary:
The Retail Sales Associate, reporting to the Operations Manager, Retail Services thrives in a dynamic store environment. As a frontline team member, you deliver superior customer service by combining sales skills and product knowledge in the day-to-day retail operations at the LA Phil Store, located inside the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Position Elements:
- Customer Engagement – Greets customers, initiates conversations and interacts in a helpful way to encourage sales and build connection
- Brand Ambassador – Represents the organization’s musical mission and values by connecting customers to products that enhance their concert experience
- Cashiering – Operates the point-of-sale system and other store technologies to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
- Product Flow – Assists with inventory distribution, product labeling, organization, and reports
- Information – Accurately responds to questions about performances, programs, and venues and proactively seeks answers to inquiries when necessary
- Visual Merchandising – Collaborates with the team to restock, maintain merchandise displays and back stock, and clean displays as needed
- Special Events – Assist with retail operations during special events
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
- Outgoing, enjoys working with the public and thrives as part of a sales team, demonstrating strong customer engagement skills
- Prior retail sales experience with point-of sale system is required
- Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, consistently providing reliable and accurate information while showing initiative
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays as scheduled at Walt Disney Concert Hall
- Experience in retail sales especially in music, art, accessories, and gifts, is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, stand for 4+ hours, walk, pull weighted carts of 30+ lbs, and bend/stretch as needed
- Dedication and commitment to engage in and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the staff, vendors, and within interactions with the surrounding community is a must
- Secondary language fluency preferred
