Adv Pract RN
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive medical and psychosocial services to homeless and housed individuals. Responsibilities include initial assessments, mental health evaluations, medication management, and crisis assessments. They act as both a team member and medical director, overseeing medication dispensing and participating in community outreach, including house calls. They collaborate with inpatient medical teams for continuity of care during hospitalization and assist with aftercare planning. This role receives administrative support from the Program Manager and clinical supervision from medical professionals. Flexible days and hours may be required to meet community needs, with the team sharing on-call responsibilities.
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree
Defined Education: Nursing
License/Certifications: Licensed RN in State of Texas w/recognition as a Psychiatric MH Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse w/limited prescriptive authority by BNE; Valid Texas Driver’s License; Valid Texas Driver’s License
