Medical Assistant
Do you like making a difference in people’s lives? We at MHMR of Tarrant County are interested in finding a person who is interested in changing lives and wanting to help others when performing the job of a Medical Assistant.
In this role, you will be supporting the Nurse in admitting and caring for people in either a clinic or short-term respite setting. You will need to use a nurturing, trauma-informed approach in interactions with patients and focus on strengthening the resiliency of our people in services while in care. Day-to-day duties include obtaining vital signs, medical history and current needs for people in care, collaborating with internal programs and medical providers, and being cross trained for duties across programs and settings.
Minimum Education: High school diploma/GED and Medical Assistant Certificate from CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NRCMA/NAHP. 1 year experience as MA preferred; Spanish-speaking a plus.
