Family Medicine Physician

Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit community hospital providing high-quality outpatient and inpatient care. We are seeking a full-time, on-site Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care for patients of all ages. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions in a patient-centered environment. The physician will collaborate closely with care teams, support community health initiatives, and provide guidance and education to patients and families. Physicians have the support of a strong specialty practice network, including multiple subspecialists, and participate in shared community call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to patients of all ages, including well visits, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a wide range of medical conditions.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, medical assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Experience in outpatient or community healthcare settings preferred.
