Summary: The Senior Systems Specialist is responsible for installing, engineering and maintaining operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance. This role will be a technical expert, providing support remotely, as well as, at production locations performing maintenance and repairs, including software and computer installations and upgrades, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for all users and projects of the organization. This position may require some travel to remote Alaska sites.  

Essential Functions:

  • Directly interact with Trident Seafoods business teams to provide Forward Deployment Engineering for end-to-end delivery of AI Agents to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Design, test and develop an active CoPilot Agent Library.
  • Performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on business processes and end user criteria.   
  • Directly interacts with assigned managers and staff to resolve hardware and software-based issues, as well as, providing automation services as needed in support of strategic and operational objectives.   
  • Develops and maintains system specifications and technical documentation  
  • Monitors datacenter health and responds to issues as they arise; provides recommendations for improving the server environment, such as capacity thresholds, security gaps, patch levels and hardware recalls.   
  • Maintains factory support software including, production inventory, labeling, factory and energy management, etc.; fine tunes system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security.   
  • Identifies project requirements by interviewing stakeholders, analyzing operations, determining project scope, and documenting results.  
  • Maintains systems by researching and resolving problems, maintaining systems integrity, and administering security.  
  • Reviews changes and upcoming developments in software applications  
  • Creates documentation for supported systems and enhancements.  
  • Designs, tests, and modifies applications, modules and/or approaches and required enhancements.  
  • Performs advanced analysis and troubleshooting for various applications.  

Additional Responsibilities:    

  • Acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and Trident Seafoods as needed.  
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to less experienced team members.   
  • Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $120,000 to $145,000.

Required Qualifications: (Education, Years of Experience, Certifications) 

  • A minimum of six years’ experience working in IT systems or a similar role.  
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience 

Preferred Education & Experiences: 

  • Microsoft or other related certifications.   
  • Experience in two or more of these areas: 
  • Microsoft Copilot Administration 
    • Agent building 
    • Prompt Engineering 
  • CRM - Salesforce Administration 
  • DocuSign IAM - contract lifecycle management tool administration 
  • Infor EAM Administration 
  • Smartsheet Administration 
  • Brandfolder Administration 
  • Tracegains Administration 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): 

  • Experience and advanced knowledge of programming languages and operating systems.    
  • Expertise in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure).   
  • A strong understanding of computer systems and web services technology. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.   
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and establish relationships with different levels of management and others of varying skill sets.   
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and customer service skills.   
  • A strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical end users.   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and simplify complex problems to develop practical solutions. 

Work environment:  

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.  

Physical demands:  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. May occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
