Primary Purpose Of The Position:

Responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the cardiovascular - service lines across Wayne Memorial Hospital and Barnes-Kasson Hospital. This leadership position provides oversight for outpatient, ambulatory, diagnostic, and procedural services within the cardiology service lines. This position will also coordinate with the management team for inpatient services as it relates to scheduling of tests and procedures prioritizing individual patient need, length of stay considerations and utilization of services in  an efficient manner with patient safety as a priority.

The Director supports and assists in developing the long-term strategic plans to support growth, improve patient access, enhance operational performance, and strengthen the overall delivery of cardiovascular - services. Working collaboratively with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, and operational teams, the Director ensures alignment with organizational goals while maintaining a focus on quality, patient satisfaction, financial stewardship, and service excellence.
 

 

 

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related healthcare field preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and/or equivalent healthcare leadership experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital operations, service line leadership, nursing leadership, clinical administration, or a related healthcare management role required.

• Experience in cardiovascular service line operations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, operational management, physician relations, financial oversight, and team leadership.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Microsoft office experience including proficiency in Excel

• Professional billing experience and/or education preferred
