SEAFOOD PROCESSOR 2 - L48

Processes seafood product on one or more assigned production lines by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

  • Cleans, scrapes, trims and fillets product.
  • Opens and removes raw materials from packaging and places on belts.
  • Segregates product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyors.
  • Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter.
  • Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, or crates for storage or shipment.
  • Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to perform Tier I essential functions at a higher level of productivity and quality.
  • Tasks and assignments must be performed in a safe manner at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to perform the duties of Seafood Processor L48 Tier I as evaluated by management. 

Education:

No external education required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

N/A

Experience:

Experience in this particular field is necessary to work as a Tier II seafood processor.

Special Training/Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences.  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
