DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Detect and respond to external theft and fraud by working undercover within the store(s) you are assigned to.
• Working as a team with store management and associates in combating loss in the store(s).
• Developing and analyzing external theft trends, utilizing information in company reports and information gathered from store management and associates.
• Serve as liaison between Company, Law Enforcement and Court Officials to effectively prosecute external theft and fraud.
• Support the detection and resolution of all associate theft and fraud.
• Promote a safe environment for all store customers and associates.
• Conduct safety and loss prevention spot-checks and audits to ensure store compliance with core policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Full-Time position
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Must pass extensive background check
• Must pass drug screening
• Must be at least 18 y/o.  Preferably 2-year college degree, preferably with Criminal Justice minor, or equivalent experience
• Proven track record as a Loss Prevention Store Detective would be a plus.
• Travel is required; must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

 LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Individuals must be capable of effectively communicating verbally in English to persons at all levels of the organization, all customers, persons apprehended for shoplifting, law enforcement and court officials.
• Individuals must be capable of effectively communicating in written and verbal reports that clearly and accurately depict the events pertaining to shoplifting incidents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and should have a proven track record in conflict resolution, with good problem-solving skills.
