DELIVERY DRIVER L48 LFS

LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary:  Drives company vehicle for deliveries and will calls. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

  • Operates company-owned vehicle legally and safely.(Ford Econoline Van)
  • Makes deliveries using company vehicle to local businesses.
  • Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Picks up will call orders as needed or instructed.
  • Picks and palletizes large orders.
  • Checks in and stocks inbound pallets.
  • Knowledge of UPS Ship Manager and Stamps.com a plus
  • Forklift certified
  • Valid WA State Driver License
  • Clear driving record
  • Maintains an orderly and clean workspace.
  • Picks and processes parcel orders
  • Knowledge of Ballard/Fisherman’s terminal area a big plus
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • When not on the road you will be required to work in the warehouse pulling orders; putting away freight

Education: High School graduate; GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid Washington State Driver’s License and good driving record.

Forklift Certification (or can be certified)

Special Training/Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to move pallets, with a pallet jack and operate a forklift.

Mental Activities: While performing duties of this job the employee will frequently engage in teamwork. The employee will occasionally be required to use interpersonal and customer service skills. The employee will need to speak and read English.

Pay in Bellingham, WA:

  • Entry Level wage:                 $17-$19 per hour
  • Tier 2                                     $19-$21 per hour
  • Tier 3                                     $21-$23 per hour
  • Tier 4                                     $23-$27 per hour
