Educational and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • One or more years related experience and/or training;
  • Or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Other relevant professional experiences or educational backgrounds will be considered as deemed appropriate. However, when licensure is required by local, state, federal or contractual guidelines, we will not alter our position on those requirements.


Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Work is normally performed in an office work environment.
  • Moderate physical activity.  Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds.
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.



Job Summary 

Legal Clerk ($11 hourly-  Entry Level) Performs a variety of clerical functions in support of the Legal & Risk Management department.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for scanning, maintaining and filing documents in accordance with department guidelines.
  • Maintains Legal files in order for easy retrieval.
  • Maintain contracts in the Armor Client Relationship Management (CRM) Database.
  • Assists in the quarterly loss runs reconciliation.
  • Requests and updates attorney reserves.
  • Enters all Unusual Occurrences onto the UOR log.
  • Enters all medical malpractice attorney invoices into the UOR Billing Log Database and administrative invoices into Admin Log.
  • Answer occasional telephone calls from patient family members regarding medical concerns.
  • Will adhere to Armor’s Standards of Professional Conduct, and will incorporate and/or be supportive of Armor’s four core FISH! Philosophies – i.e. Play, Be There, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude.
  • Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as Armor Staff in accordance with Armor and Facility Guidelines.  This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Project based assignment - Primary function: submitting and following up on Freedom of Information Acts to different counties and/or municipalities.
