As a Sr Manager of Host Homes, you will provide management support to Designated Coordinators and oversee the program needs of multiple Host Homes to ensure quality services are delivered to the individuals we support. In addition, you will maintain a caseload of host home providers and individuals. You will need to be available at all times to support and maintain a safe and secure environment and fulfill managerial responsibilities, 24/7 365 days.

This position directly oversees multiple Host Homes supporting up to 8 individuals as well as supervising 1-3 Designated Coordinators who also support multiple Host Homes supporting up to 10 individuals each. This position could include a variety of services with different rules and regulations (Adult Foster Care, Child Foster Care, Therapeutic Host Homes, and 245D). This position will be responsible for Host Home program management operations including ensuring accuracy and maintenance of individuals’ funds and organizational accounts as well as recruiting and finding matches for new Host Home providers.

Minimum Requirements

 
  • Must meet Designated Coordinator Qualifications which include:
  • (1) a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • (2) an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  • (3) a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  • (4) a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
  • (5) four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
  • Driver's license and motor vehicle with a satisfactory driving record is required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration training is required but can be obtained after hire.
  • Training in supervisory skills, team building, challenging behaviors and leadership.
  • Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance is required.
  • Working knowledge of the regulations that govern disability services.
  • Adept reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and computer skills that support LSS of MN technology.
  • Ability to accept/follow through with direction.
  • Ability to recognize and respect boundaries including family dynamics.
  • Ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgment.
