Franciscan Health Center is now offering Part-Time or Full time shifts for the Basic Care Aide position. If you are interested in getting experience before you get your NAR certification this is perfect for you!

An ideal candidate should:

· Have a passion for helping others;

· Possess a strong work ethic;

· Be an excellent team player;

· Be able to provide direct resident care in accordance with our facility policies and procedures

.   Physical Requirements:

  • Good physical and mental health.

  • *Able to walk, stand or sit for 4-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.

  • *Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, reach above shoulders and push/pull frequently.

  • *Able to lift, carry, push and pull 30 pounds.

  • *Able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds with assistance.

  • *Walks and stands much of the day.

  • *Exposed to strain in lifting, moving and supporting residents.

  • *Exposed to infection.

  • Additional hours may be required to meet the business needs of the facility to ensure safe resident care, at the discretion of management, overtime maybe required.

 

Job Requirements

 
  • *Able to read, write and understand verbal communication.

  • *Maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance.

  • *Displays initiative in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks. Understands and demonstrates teamwork.

  • Interested in attaining their CNA/NAR Certificate

  • Pass a MN Department of Health Background Check

*Demonstrates a positive attitude and cooperation in dealing with all residents, staff and visitors.
