GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Manage regional operations associated with the prospecting, obtaining, and retaining of Keefe Group inmate phone business and profitability. Keefe Group Regional Manager will assist the Sales Staff to promote, acquire, and develop current and new inmate phone business customers.


  • Possess full working knowledge of inmate phone business technologies, products, and services
  • Drive the inmate phone business in the region through the sales staff and ensure full compliance with the sales, marketing, and CRM requirements
  • Develop regional marketing plan which complements National Marketing Program
  • Implement training program and provide ongoing instruction to the sales staff in the marketing, business development, technologies, services, and operations of inmate phone business
  • Direct, guide and maintain prescribed account base
  • Provide and ensure the accuracy of all analysis and worksheets required for approval of customer proposals
  • Perform and complete Keefe Group presentations, proposals, contracts, and trade shows
  • Work with project management to develop and ensure installation and training plans that are both compliant and satisfactory with the facility
  • Travel to make personal sales calls to accounts in territory
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure technologies, services, and support are being provided with complete satisfaction
  • Manage assigned on-site operations and employees
  • Identify market trends to include bidding patterns, software and service enhancements, fair market pricing and product/service offerings
  • Determine and recommend new technologies, products, and services which satisfy customer’s needs and lead the industry
  • Perform on-going analysis of accounts to ensure approved profitability levels, and determine changes and enhancements which increase the profitability, service, and offerings
  • Assist Regional/Group Vice President in determining the inmate phone business forecast
  • Achieve individual and regional goals set by Group Vice President on sales and profit that coincide with the inmate phone business forecast
  • Produce required regional and national reports
  • Maintain full compliance with Keefe Group Best Business Practices Guide
  • Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by Group/Regional Vice President

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has supervisory and non-supervisory direct reports including Account Managers and On-Site Employees.


Minimum Requirements


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


  • Must qualify for correctional facility security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license


  • Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the Keefe Group Organization and the correctional facility in a professional manner.

  • Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must pass drug screening test.
  • Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Sales experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often be required to sit, talk and hear and occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop or kneel. The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will not be exposed to any unusual environmental conditions. The noise level is generally quiet (examples: library, private office).
