As a Host Home Director participate as a member of the team, fostering an environment which supports individuals in pursuit of their hopes, dreams and personal outcomes that align with My Life My Choices philosophy. Provide management support for multiple Host Homes (HH) providers and HH Coordinators to ensure quality services are delivered to the individuals we support: be available at all times to maintain a safe and secure environment.

 

This position will manage assigned host homes that serve up to six individuals each as well as supervise Designated Coordinators. The Host Home Director will work with other Regional/Area Directors and counties to develop Host Home throughout the state. Additional areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: provide training and assistance to Host Home families, recruitment and marketing, personnel management, program management, and service development.

Minimum Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent experience required; must have Designated Coordinator qualifications.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience required including 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Working knowledge of the regulations that govern disability services.
  • Training in supervisory skills, team building, challenging behaviors and leadership.
  • Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance required.
  • Driver's license and Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • Adept reading, writing, math, problem solving, and computer skills that support LSS technology.
  • Ability to accept/follow through with direction.
  • Able to recognize boundaries including family dynamics.
  • Creative team member who can suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
  • Demonstrated patience, self-control and flexibility; motivated self-starter.
  • Strong analytical, decision making, financial management skills are needed.
  • Interact with a variety of people in a cooperative and constructive manner.
