Description
This position is part-time, nonexempt, unclassified and not covered as defined by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.
Hours vary; must be available nights, weekends and holidays, as needed for events
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to use the current ticketing system to sell tickets to events held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
- Answers phone calls and provides information about events.
- Balances cash drawer at the end of shift.
- Responsible for providing a high level of customer service with the guests.
- Works in an office environment and maintains a professional working relationship with fellow staff members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Working Conditions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic cash handling skills and hands on computer experience
- Knowledge of office equipment
- Willing to work flexible hours, days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed for events
- Good verbal communication and customer service skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Ticket Seller works in a standard office environment with the ability to sit, stand, and move around freely involving some lifting up to twenty pounds, bending, typing, attention to detail, monitoring equipment, and noise.
