Parking Lot Attendant

This position is part-time, nonexempt, unclassified and not covered as defined by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.
Hours vary; nights, weekends and holidays required.
Under the Direction of the Parking Lot Supervisor, the Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for providing customer service to guests as they park at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greets guests and collects proceeds for parking lot.
- Assists in directing traffic, as needed.
- Helps guests with general information as to where to enter events.
- Answers event related questions.
- Has a general knowledge of the building and participates in all emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Available to work events during the day, nights, weekends and holidays
- General cash handling skills to balance proceeds
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Parking Lot Attendant works outside in all types of weather, often standing for 4-5 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
