Position Summary:

Hotel Leveque is looking for a creative Housekeeping Supervisor to assist in managing our housekeeping Stars. The ideal person would be a dynamic leader, have experience leading a housekeeping team, and know how create a fun work culture that inspires the best from their Stars.

What this job entails:

  • Ensure that a well-trained, highly motivated staff provide clean and styled guest rooms and public hotel space. Sound experience tells you when to let the team fly and when to guide them.
  • Help design and implement systems to ensure maximum efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Support your team with any necessary resources and training they require to perform at their best.
  • Ensure the department is maximizing revenue opportunities and achieving budgeted operating results.
  • Use all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to your team.
  • Promote a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
  • Ensure housekeeping support and storage areas are in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
  • Model the highest possible example in conduct, temperament, attendance, punctuality, and standards of work.
  • Take on additional roles as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Two-three years in a related position with at least one year as leadership.
  • High school or equivalent education.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Give us examples of how you will create a culture that promotes our brand and positions us as the top hotel in Columbus for cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of computer programs. Preferably Marriott systems or something comparable.
  • Show good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have a flexible schedule and are available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Able to stand for hours at a time.
  • Understand the position requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Have the stamina to work 40 hours or more per week
