Age Requirement: 21 years or older

Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating training activities in direct support of the Training and Development Department and assisting in all aspects of the training process to include preparing and scheduling training sessions and meetings, notifying management of training schedules, and tracking attendance for all classes.  Promotes and exhibits World Class Guest Service to all Resort and Casino guests.  Prepare internal communication material and responds to management and employee inquiries in a prompt and professional manner while ensuring and maintaining open communication with leadership and employees.

  • Develops, implements and delivers training programs for employees as required
  • Develops, compiles and maintains training and support materials that may be used as resources once training has been completed that includes  instructor materials course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids
  • Conducts limited presentations, workshops, and feedback sessions
  • Manages company Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Develops electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops as required
  • Maintains adequate supply log and inventories of all training supplies and presentation materials.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities, supplies and equipment.
  • Design, prepare, and order educational aids and materials.
  • Responds to all employee or public requests promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinates all training sessions, calendars, and training room reservations.
  • Provides logistical support for classroom training including setup, preparing materials, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinates New Employee Orientation
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
  • Ensures that the Training Manager is aware and advised of the status of any training issues and projects.
  • Greets guests, maintains friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • One (1) year proven work experience as a training coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA. Required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs. Required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events.
  • Hands-on experience presenting workshops and feedback sessions
  • Experience with e-learning platforms.
  • MS proficiency
  • Advanced organization skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Must possess a sense of urgency and good judgement.  Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to take direction and feedback well.
  • Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity and respect for individuals.
  • Must possess strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain appearance and behavior that is exceptional and reflects the image of the Property and the Human Resources Department.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Sit/stand for extended period of time
  • Must be able to lift, move and place 25 pounds

Working Conditions:

  • Typically work in offices and spend much of their time working with people. Most work full time during regular business hours.
  • May occasionally deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • Smoke filled environment
