Position Summary

Bakery maintenance supervisor must be reliable, be proactive, able to work autonomously and have a great eye for detail. Must have relevant technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as electrical, HVAC etc. Have experience in Leadership, Administrative skills and People Management and Scheduling are also essential. Under minimal supervision perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Be proactive in maintaining and improving the facility safety, operations, maintenance systems and employee skills. A primary goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
  • Employ, supervise and train workers.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
  • Conduct and ensure preventative maintenance completed appropriately and on time
  • Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
  • Conduct safety inspections and training as scheduled.
  • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, electrical experience.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Fantastic organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related communication tools.
  • Great time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
