TEMPORARY FULL-TIME POSITION.

To promote and market the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act benefits to employers, clients and the public.  This position coordinates training and support services through the SC Works system. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Work with the SC Works center staff in developing jobs in the employment area of clients.

2. Assist the SC Works center staff in client job matching by being knowledgeable about their backgrounds and aptitudes.

3. Keep involved with business and civic organizations, promote and market the WIA benefits to employers.

4. Contact and maintain employer relationships in order to present clients for hire.

5. Identify employment resources by maintaining contacts in the community, research new opportunities, and work with local community colleges and literacy services.

6. Coordinate recruitment efforts with the SC Works Center and assist Case Managers with clients.  Maintain and submit a monthly job listing report.

7. Attend workshops and community meeting to develop job leads.

8. Maintain contacts with other agencies to provide supportive services for clients.

9. Perform other social service type work as required.

Minimum Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

BS Degree in Business, Management or Marketing and job development experience

Valid SC Driver’s License

EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES

Working knowledge of computer and modern office equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment. Position is located at SC Works Center
