This position includes financial and operational accountabilities for People Management, Production, Shipping, Food Safety, Engineering, Sanitation/Receiving and all other bakery related operations including understanding of Sales, Marketing and NPD. This results-oriented manager will have substantial management experience with progressive responsibility and accountability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee bakery operations, practices and productivity.
  • Identifying and targeting areas in which a business can improve operational performance.
  • Monitors product costing as related to production practices.
  • Manages all bakery related expenses.
  • Responsible for all daily activities of the production and operation teams.
  • Delegates production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel.
  • Implements and modifies procedures to ensure production of quality products.
  • Estimating and reviewing costs and monitoring and documenting process controls
  • Supervising and motivating team.
  • Promotes and leads team safety culture in facility by understanding and complying with safety procedures, practices and policies.
  • Reviews and directs positive change from QA and production records.
  • Reviews Food Safety audits and develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Responsible for all aspects of regulatory compliance.
  • Leads employees with respect, courtesy and in a collaborative manner.

Minimum Education/Experience

  • 10 Years manufacturing experience in a food production facility.
  • AIB Certification or commensurate experience.
  • 10 Years Managerial experience in Manufacturing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP Manufacturing and MRP Inventory Software systems.
  • High level of analytical ability is required.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
  • Proficient in Office 365 including Teams. 
  • Previous experience managing in a union environment preferred but not required.
