Supervisor (Federal)
JOB SUMMARY
Supervises armed Security Officers, Lead Officers and other company personnel at assigned high-profile client site(s). Supervises company personnel, including assigning work, coaching, and discipline, as defined by client contract. May perform duties of Security Officer within scope of assignment. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately.
As an armed supervisor, you may respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. You will assist in preserving order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
This supervisory role may utilize rank or other hierarchical structure as appropriate for the assignment

Duties Include
- Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post instructions are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating post instructions as appropriate. Works with Company and Client management as applicable
- Responds to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response following established protocol for the site and as dictated by the situation, by the company, and through required training and licensing; maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons as required
- Trains, verifies and coaches personnel to ensure the highest levels of customer service; ensure positive, courteous and diplomatic interactions toward Client employees, visitors, and the public while performing duties.
- Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
- Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
- In conjunction with company management or designated representatives, ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions. Communicates and briefs personnel in a timely manner regarding special circumstances, special events, and any other appropriate activity impacting operations.
- Prepares, files and submits various reports as required.
- Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities; ensures personnel are properly uniformed, alert, and present a neat appearance.
- Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
- As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carries out supervisory duties that can include some or all of the following: interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; making hiring and termination recommendations.
- May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post instructions and company policy.
- Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY (Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position)
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizenship preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to acquire and maintain any specific special clearances/access requirements
Education | Experience
- High school diploma / GED
- Experience in physical security, military service, law enforcement or a related field, sufficient to meet the minimum requirements for state and local licensing and/or site standards as established by the company.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of Armed Security / Law Enforcement experience OR two (2) years of honorable service with the US Armed Forces.
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, may need to meet physical examination requirements per assignment and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements

- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned site.
