The Technical Support Services Specialist (TSS) has a keen sense of knowledge about computer systems, network systems, and software applications. They educate and guide the Help Desk Specialists, answer complex systems and applications questions, and troubleshoot any related problems about technology-based products and services. When helping customers and end-users, the TSS will require patience, good listening and excellent communication skills. The TSS will work to resolve escalated technical issues from the Help Desk and should it be necessary, escalate further to the proper team for resolution. The TSS will train the Help Desk members of the Operations team in troubleshooting and resolving, complex technical issues.

Minimum Requirements


3 to 4 years of related IT skills are needed. CompTIA certifications like the A+, N+ and S+ are good to have but not required.  A Cisco CCT or CCENT is preferred. Other Cisco certifications like CCNA are applicable.  Microsoft certifications such as MCP or MCSE are applicable and encouraged.  College degrees in IT related fields are also encouraged.
