LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary: Looking for an experienced sales clerk to work the Sporting Good/Gun Counter at our retail store. Weekends shifts are required.

LFS, Inc. is a federal contractor. Background check and drug screen required upon job offer.

Essential Functions

  1. Must have customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone.
  2. General knowledge of firearms and ammo.
  3. Familiar with FBI NICS system
  4. Familiar with ATF Form 4473
  5. General knowledge of sporting goods and sport fishing.
  6. Previous experience with a point of sale program.
  7. Ensure excellent retail experience for customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High school graduate. Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Work Environment:    Retail store setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to  talk or hear, reach with hands and arms.The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-35 pounds.

Mental Activities:        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, speak, write and understand English, and must regularly use customer service skills.  The employee will frequently use interpersonal and teamwork skills.  The employee must occasionally use decision making skills, creativity, and discretion.
