Position:                     Operations Assistant I

Department:               Hollywood Bowl Operations

FLSA Grade:              Non-Exempt

Salary Range:            $18.75 - $20.00

Position Summary: 

The Operations Assistant I, reporting to the Operations Administrator, supports all Operations activities and routine.

 

Position Elements:

  • Opening and closing the office
  • General phone duties/take messages
  • Monitor base station and radio distribution
  • Receive and sort mail
  • Update Room Reservations/calendar
  • Greet guests, announce visitors and allow appropriate access into the Operations office
  • Sign for packages, direct messengers and deliveries
  • Manage Lost and Found
  • Check out/in keys to other employees
  • Collect staff ticket requests and distribute tickets
  • Support Park & Ride Operation and reporting
  • Preparation for meetings
  • Coordinate staff meals
  • Keep accurate time records and abide by the meal and rest period policy

Position Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School graduate, College preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to be patient and follow directions from supervisor
  • Collaborate with various departments
  • Strong work ethics
  • Ability to multitask
  • Great organization skills
  • Provide excellent communication skills with attention to detail
  • Existing knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the following:
    • Policies and procedures
    • Layout of the venue
    • Event times and program information
    • Communicate inter and intra departmentally
    • Customer service etiquette
    • Able to effectively use office equipment
    • Proper use of 2-way radios
    • Ability to:
  • Walk the grounds
  • Work long hours
  • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Sit for up to a couple of hours at a time during work shift

 

 

COVID Workplace Safety Requirements

This position will require you to interact with employees, patrons, vendors and others who may or may not be vaccinated or recently tested. You will be required to wear personal protection equipment (PPE) required by the LA County Department of Public Health protocols and the LA Phil.  You agree to comply at all times with the LA Phil’s COVID-19 Prevention Plan, including testing and vaccination requirements.
