SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting both the Audit and Tax Managers by planning, scheduling and conducting internal audits as well as assisting with tax preparation and reporting. This role will also play an integral role in building out processes within the accounting department to better facilitate tax and audit strategies. 

TAX FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and/or review federal and state corporate tax documents.
  • Perform routine monthly and quarterly procedures including account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and account analysis.
  • Act as the focal point for drafting and recording tax accounting journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Help maintain and reconcile financial statement tax accounts, including proper record keeping and maintenance of tax accounting records.
  • Assist in preparing the Company's quarterly and annual tax provision.

AUDIT FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in planning audits, including outlining requirements, preparing documents and conducting research prior to commencement.
  • Manage administrative tasks as part of the audit cycle, such as scheduling and filing.
  • Complete general audit procedures and coordinate audit communications.
  • Document audit findings and follow up on progress through discussions with Management.
  • Assist in the development of audit approaches to be used by Trident teams.

Minimum Requirements

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Accounting or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in tax, internal audit or accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment and the ability to work with flexibility, efficiency and diplomacy both individually and as part of a complex team effort
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in positions requiring communication with a broad and diverse audience
