SUMMARY:

Assists the Purchasing Manager in in support of internal operations by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
  2. Consults online catalogs and contacts suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications.
  3. Enters purchase orders and sends copy to supplier Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
  4. Computes total cost of items purchased.
  5. Works closely with shipping and receiving and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate invoicing.
  6. Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates and awards purchase orders to bidders or places orders with suppliers.
  7. Able to enters a minimum of 10K line per year , approximately 5 lines per hours.
  8. Provides specifications and technical information to operations.
  9. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned by the purchasing manager.

Minimum Requirements

 

 EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience; or a 4 year degree.

EXPERIENCE:

Two to three years of MRO procurement experience.
