Summary:

The Warehouse Administrative Assistant provides superior customer service by supporting the Office Manager and Director of Warehouse Services with timely data entry and communication with various departments in order to ensure that Trident Seafoods Corporation customers are receiving quality products and services. The Administrative Assistant also verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with warehouse and production personnel, drivers, cold storage, and production teams
  • Enters manifest information using a 10 key and/or data entry
  • Files important documents (billing of lading and miscellaneous receipts).
  • Uses excellent organizational and filing techniques
  • Utilizes strong communication and phone skills
  • Answers questions and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information
  • Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel is unavailable
  • Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating
  • Maintains inventory in a timely and accurate manner
  • Carries out instructions given by immediate supervisor
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Reports all personnel-related issues to immediate supervisor

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned
  • Regular scheduled hours TBD, Monday to Friday, with overtime to be expected. Seasonal requirements may include ten-hour workdays and mandatory work hours on Saturdays and Holidays
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements

 

 

Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have one year of experience in applications of  Microsoft Office - Outlook email, Excel, Word, and Access.  Strong organization skills, and ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Education:

  •  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities and driving same to the production floor
  • Able to work both independently and within a team generating results with general/minimal guidance.
