Description

 

 

Summary:  The Welder works with a variety of welding equipment to fabricate or repair products in the performance of the duties of a Welder as follows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welds and assembles metal components together with welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
  • Uses a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant and shipboard equipment.
  • Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding
  • Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
  • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
  • Measures and cuts materials to specifications.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements

 

 

Experience: Six months experience in a food manufacturing maintenance department.  Knowledge of food grade welding procedures and compliance measures required.

Education: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

TIG/MIG/Aluminum/Stainless Steel/ARC

Certified High Pressure pipe welder

Successful Completion of Trident Welding Test
