Summary:
The Senior Manager of Facility Engineering is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing engineering services for capital projects, continuous improvement projects, and all plant maintenance and repair activities. Provide technical and engineering support to all plant departments as needed. Actively seek and implement technology and automation solutions in support of cost reduction initiatives. Champion plant TPM/Autonomous maintenance pillars. Design, prepare, submit, manage plant projects. Actively partner with plant leadership team to drive organizational priorities to successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead equipment maintenance and repair activities for plant
- Fully utilize EAM system for parts inventory management and preventative maintenance activities.
- Ensure plant infrastructure and utilities are maintained / upgraded to support operational requirements.
- Provide safe work environment through support of TSP and implementation of safety equipment, guarding, controls.
- Provide project management for facility projects and assure that projects are executed in a thorough, professional, timely, cost effective manner.
- Collaborate with plant manager to develop long range capital plan for the site that delivers operational / commercial requirements and supports cost reduction and CI.
- Manage, develop current engineering staff to deliver organizational TPM/AM goals; Recruit new talent as needed.
- Liaison between plant, VA Division, Corporate entities to provide planning, coordination, direction for capital projects as needed.
- Provide direction and support for Maintenance front line leaders and associates in upkeep and improvement of plant operational environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate project activities on a plant-wide basis
- Lead preparation of annual plant Capital Plan and take ownership of execution of the same
- Lead the preparation of Capital Request Packages
- Responsible for delivery of Engineering capital and plant R&M expense budgets
- Lead planning for annual shut down activities and execution of same
- Coordinate with plant manager, assistant plant manager, and maintenance leader on engineering department goals and objectives
- Direct all activities concerning engineering projects
- Act as back up when needed for engineering / maintenance department leaders
- Manage and support facilities / grounds maintenance
- Assure engineering and maintenance functions adhere to GMP, Quality, Safety, Regulatory requirement in execution of work
- Support other Value-added plants as needed / when workload allows
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing facilities and/or project management in a high-speed CPG environment-preferably food or pharma
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in one of the following:
- Maintenance supervisor/manager
- Project manager
- Process control
- Department manager
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in one of the following:
- Process engineer
- Facility engineer
- Project engineer
- Packaging engineer
