Perform all aspects of carpentry work required in the maintenance and construction of plant production facilities, office buildings, and equipment in various locations including Alaska.

Essential Functions

  1. Set up and operate wood working tools and all common hand tools to cut, form, and finish material for the construction or demolition of an assigned project.
  2. Create or dismantle structures.
  3. Repair or refinish walls or structures.
  4. Install wood or metal parts.
  5. Install glass or replace broken glass.
  6. Build or dismantle roofing or siding.
  7. Prepare irregular scaffolding as needed to complete projects safely.
  8. Crate machinery for shipment.
  9. May work as part of a mechanics team in semi-annual overhaul programs or special projects.
  10. Touch-up or do incidental painting after structure repairs.
  11. Operates various types of lift equipment.
  12. Understand and able to implement safe work procedures.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings


Minimum Requirements



High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.  Basic carpentry with some mechanical experience preferred.


One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Three to six months related experience or training.  Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and bagging machines preferred.
