The Inventory & Sourcing Specialist acts as liaison between various departments, warehouses, plants and customers to facilitate communication and expedite allocation, order and invoicing processes.  This position requires a highly organized and accurate individual, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates as necessary to expedite day to day business operations, with respect to sales and inventory movement related tasks.
  • Executes in transit orders to move stock to forward warehouses, as well as providing coverage support to others handling domestic and export sales orders.
  • Maintains knowledge of sales order and in-transit order processes within and without proprietary ERP system. 
  • Participates in processing of Purchase Order or Purchase Goods Receipts as directed in support of Fish Procurement Buyers.  Observes title protection and import / export documentation protocols with support from team members.  Tracks purchase order processes, references approvals, receives cargo according to inventory and traceability standards for saleable seafood products.   Prepares related outgoing payment instructions.
  • Provides oversight of inventories in support of Sales, Supply Chain and planning.
  • Fields contact from external and internal customers, salespeople, buyers, warehouses, carriers. Problem solves as necessary to research, resolve and address concerns.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in sales, category management, production plants, demand planning, supply chain as needed to create desired outcomes.
  • Uses critical thinking and communication skills to expedite solutions among various parties involved in related Sales and Inventory system processes, Traffic systems and processes. 
  • Contributes to warehouse inventory reconciliation with research and resolution.
  • Provides oversight on claims and deductions arising from customer concerns, warehouse claims.
  • Contributes to organized file system, supports paperless information retention.
  • Participates in coverage for and training of other team members as needed.


Minimum Requirements



• Minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized individual, able to drive domestic transactions as well as complex export transactions, while providing timely customer and sales support updates.
• Fluency in SAP a plus.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required.
• Agility in adjusting to evolving business objectives required.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and meet deadlines amid competing demands.
• Strong customer service skills required, with ability to clearly and efficiently coordinate with internal and external service providers.
