Summary:
The Global Compensation Manager is an exciting new position at Trident Seafoods, reporting to the Director, Total Rewards. This role is responsible for the planning, communication, management and execution of global compensation programs and projects. It will support the development of strategic HR and business initiatives and help elevate our Employee Value Proposition and being recognized as the very best place to work. This individual will manage and mentor a Compensation Analyst. This position is based in Trident’s Seattle (Ballard Neighborhood) offices.

Essential Functions:
• Utilizes knowledge of the business and understands the financial impact of decisions/solutions to drive strategic projects that support the organization and contribute to financial performance.
• Develops and maintains global job and compensation structures.
• Responsible for annual and off-cycle planning processes including merit reviews and bonus cycles.
• Advises and counsels the HR team and business leaders on compensation decisions and to ensure fairness, competitiveness, and alignment with the Trident values.
• Manages global salary survey submissions, market assessments and associated analysis.
• Develops and delivers compensation training materials and communications for in-person and virtual platforms to educate employees, managers and Human Resources team members on compensation-related topics.
• Contributes to the successful Partners with key stakeholders to define and measure effectiveness of programs.
• Directs large-scale projects and system initiatives requiring advanced technical knowledge in order to consistently drive efficient and effective solutions.
• Monitors and audits pay practices to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and wage and hour laws.
• Lead compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions
• Provides internal support to HR Business Partners by supplying appropriate guidance for new positions, new hires, promotions, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of current compensation legislation, including countries outside of the U.S.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Other duties as assigned
• Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
• Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally

Experience:
• 7+ years Compensation experience required.

 

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field. (May substitute additional experience for degree.)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• CCP certification preferred.
