The Sr. Process Engineer will play a key role in designing and/or improving Trident’s Seafood Processing equipment and processes.  Acting as a subject matter expert, the Sr. Process Engineer will contribute to and supervise all phases of projects and play an important role in transforming Trident’s facilities into the Best in Class for the Seafood Industry and the markets we serve.  This position will be based out of Trident’s Stevens Point, WI office and may require up to 50% travel. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Researches, develops and improves new and existing processes in the processing and manufacturing of food products.
  • Designs process systems to include:
    • Mass and energy balances
    • Material flow analysis
    • Heat flow analysis
    • Fluid calculations
  • Develops process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and other materials as requested.
  • Prepares assessments on cost, resource needs and timelines for proposed projects.
  • Develops detailed models and presentation decks for the Executive team when requested.
  • Develops and communicates project plan to ensure work is completed according to project objectives, meeting timelines and quality standards.
  • Provides direction on project plans and timelines to team members and other key personnel.
  • Conducts facility/site visits as needed to support business objectives.
  • Trains personnel as needed in processes to improve proficiency.
  • Provides supervision and direction for one or more Process Engineers.
  •  Attends meetings and trade shows as appropriate to review new equipment and suppliers.
  • Conducts design reviews, trials and FAT’s as needed


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions 
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

Minimum Requirements



This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and on-site at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.



A minimum of 10 years’ experience with engineering, process, design and layout of food production facilities – frozen food facilities preferred. 

Experience in the seafood industry preferred. 



BA in engineering or related field, Master’s degree preferred.  Technical degree or significant direct experience may be substituted for education requirement.



  • User level knowledge in AutoCAD (2D), Working knowledge in AutoCAD Revit – BIM 360


Preferred Training and Skills:

Willingness and ability to perform multiple roles in design team environment.  Ability to manage teams of contractors and suppliers and site installation schedules.  Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
