LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.


Job Summary: Looking for a Service Counter Worker to support our Hydraulics Team; to represent our business and to sell merchandise to customers by performing the following duties.


Essential Functions: 
1. Must have customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone.
2. Must have experience working with marine parts and products.
3. Previous experience with a point of sale program or cash register is helpful.
4. Pulls parts from floor and warehouse for technicians.
5. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
6. Answers customer's questions concerning location and price of products
7. Totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
8. Accepts payment and makes change.
9. Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
10. Standing up to 6 hours at a time.
11. Ensure excellent experience for customer.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Special Training/Skills: 
Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software,and word processing software.


Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.
Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, speak, write and understand English, and must regularly use customer service skills.  The employee will frequently use interpersonal and teamwork skills.  The employee must occasionally use decision making skills, and discretion.
