LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary:  This position is responsible to review, monitor and execute in a timely manner the confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventories, freight shipments, transfer orders and book adjustment transactions by performing the following duties:

Essential Functions:

  • Verifying quantities and part numbers against packing lists, AP invoices and open Purchase Orders
  • Recognition of defection, broken or damaged merchandise
  • Notification of vendor of shortages, discrepancies and/or damages to shipments
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Work with Production and Purchasing to review and report material shortages.
  • Data entry for receiving PO’s and completing transfers
  • Occasional quantity on hand research
  • Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping software is helpful
  • Prior use of Epicor/Eagle Software is helpful

This is a year round full time position working Monday-Friday 8-5 in a large warehouse.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Training/Skill:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email, spreadsheet software, and word processing software. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. (Forklifts, trucks docking and unloading) The temperature fluctuates in this 100,000 + sq ft facility.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and type and will need to be able to move around the 100,000 + sq ft warehouse when necessary. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to forty pounds.

Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use customer service skills and frequently required to use teamwork and interpersonal skills.
