ASSISTANT RETAIL SALES STORE MANAGER LFS

LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

The Assistant Retail Sales Store Manager represents our business, and assists the Location Mgr. in creating and leading a team to sell merchandise to customers by performing the following duties. Knowledge or boating and outdoor equipment helpful. This position in Seattle pays $23-$25 per hour depending on experience. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   

  1. Work with Location Manager to manage day-to-day operations of the store to meet all operational staffing and merchandising objectives.
  2. Proven ability to lead, coach, and build team relationships in an environment of fast change; must be able to manage, direct, and motivate a diverse team
  3. Strong project management and leadership skills needed to organize promo sales, delegate tasks, interview new staff members, set and maintain standards.
  4. Work with Location Manager on maintaining employee performance levels, training employees and scheduling employees to fit the needs of the store and other sales events.
  5. Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment
  6. Must demonstrate an exemplary commitment to provide and teach exceptional customer service skills; must be able to learn, retain product information and pass along product knowledge to employees.
  7. Have the ability to organize and run staff meetings and training sessions
  8. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope; must be able to act decisively in implementing solutions
  9. Provide sales guidance to customers; assist them in making the best choice
  10. Uphold the store’s clean, organized and welcoming appearance, merchandise product, work to maintain stock levels and highlight new products
  11. Very strong verbal communication and listening skills; self-motivated
  12. Available to occasionally travel and work industry trade shows in the Pacific Northwest

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES  

  1. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

 

EDUCATION 

Four year degree; or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers and reach with and arms hands. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must routinely lift or move up to 10 pounds.  The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 30-40 pounds.
